SOUND & Stage Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Musical Theater in Connecticut
Founded to offer high quality theater with a positive and hopeful message, SOUND & Stage Theater is a unique concept combining the excitement of dance and drama with the power of choral music. SOUND & Stage is a nonprofit musical theater organization in the Greater New Haven area.
SOUND & Stage Theater Company is thrilled to announce our 2026 original musical comedy: "Old Oak Ridge" for ages 13+!
Show Summary: Experience the heart, harmony, and high-energy of the South in "Old Oak Ridge," a soulful new musical comedy where small-town secrets and big-city ambitions collide under the branches of a sacred 500-year-old tree. When a sensationalist news crew arrives to cover the town's historic festival, they expect a simple story, but instead find a community bound by generations of love, ambition, and a legacy worth fighting for. Filled with wit, Southern sass, and a foot-stomping score inspired by the golden age of rock and roll, this production is a moving—and hilarious—tribute to the "angels" in our lives and the deep roots that keep us grounded even when the "city-slickers" try to shake the branches.
Audition Dates: May 29th & 30th
Callbacks: May 31st
Rehearsals: July 20-24, July 27-31, August 3-6
Shows: August 7th & 8th

This organization is a 501(c)3 founded by a Haitian native to address the critical deforestation crisis following the 2010 earthquake. They combine environmental recovery with community empowerment through:
Reforestation & Nurseries: Over the last decade, they have cultivated and planted over 200,000 trees.
"Francine’s Garden": A program that provides families with fruit and vegetable plants for personal use or sale, directly linking environmental health to local economic resilience.
Environmental Education: TAFH visits schools to teach children the importance of forest stewardship.
